SI Series Main Unit Settings

When communicating using SI-VCP, please configure the following settings on the SI series main unit in advance.
For specific configuration procedures, please refer to the instruction manual of your SI series unit.

Network Settings

Set an IP address and port number on the target SI series unit that allows for a TCP connection with the PC using SI-VCP.

  • Communication Protocol Selection
    Select TCP. SI-VCP does not support UDP.

  • IP Address Settings
    It is recommended to set the IP address of the SI series unit to a Static IP address, as changing it during operation may cause network disconnections or connection errors.

Serial Communication Settings

Configure the baud rate, data bits, parity, stop bits, and flow control of the SI series unit to match the specifications of the connected serial device.

Regarding Application-Side Settings

The communication parameters (baud rate, data bits, parity, stop bits, and flow control) for the COM port configured in the PC application must match the serial communication settings of the SI series unit. If these settings do not match, it may result in garbled characters or communication errors.
